Can't add google weather shortcut to the home screen, tested in various situations

I have Ulephone Armour X7 Pro running Android V10. The multitask button (the square on the navigation bar) just doesn't work in Microsoft Launcher (works fine in the standard launcher). When tapped, it just does nothing, or at most flashes the screen. Please fix this ASAP as there doesn't seem to be any way to configure access to this using the gesture shortcut menu in Launcher Settings (eg double tap home screen).

So this happens when i go to the home screen and tap anywhere on the home. the screen flickers once. i use a note 20 5g device.

Yesterday, Feb 8, I got the latest update. After closing Google Play Store, I switched back to the launcher home page and noticed that my recent apps' page was empty. I switched to my widgets page and all of them were overlapping and with an exaggerated to and bottom margin. I didn't find a way to fix this. All of the other pages were empty. I rebooted the phone but to no avail.

The transparency of the home screen status bar is 0% whenever you hide the task bar. It is only regained when you pull down the notifications to Un hide the status bar.
