I use FX File Explorer by NextApp, Inc. It has feature to create shortcuts to any other normally accessable folder and put these shortcuts on the home screen. When I run MS Launcher Backup and then Restore, these shortcuts (and any Launcher folders they may be in) do not restore. I do not know if this is problem with MS Launcher or FX. I am sending them a copy of this report. Thank you for looking into this.

Every time the Automatic backup runs once it is completed I have to do a restore as the home page wigets are gone.

I am having problems backing up my MS LAUNCHER SETTING to my cloud. I CAN DO A LOCAL BACKUP, but my cloud backup fails. I have tried 3xs.

Screen Lock Method setting gets turned off during the launcher default so gesture assigned (one finger swipe down) had to be reassigned. Gesture brings up the panel with the two lock choices... Not difficult to deal with but settings of any sort should remain stable on backup. Here they are not.

I moved phones and the contacts said they synced when I imported my old layout but they didn't.

the launcher is of the latest version. When I restore a backup it asks me update the launcher version.

my settings got messed up automatically when I restarted the phone and after that when I tried to restore my settings it said 'failed to find file list'....

Restoring a beta Microsoft launcher backup does not work, it says that this is not an appropriate version to restore to.

unable to restore settings from preview version of launcher when switching back. I got a notification that the preview is going away and we need to switch to the normal version. I backed up my settings and attempted to restore them on the new one. it gave me an error saying it's for a newer version.

Well youre getting rid o preview version but your restore from that version does not work. I hope you thought about this compatibility being necessary.
